Damn good denim.
You can’t go wrong with denim. Unless it’s tight and low rise — than you’re looking at jail time. Andy once wore black jeans to a black tie wedding cause he couldn’t find his pants and no one even noticed. I’m not suggesting you do that (I was horrified), but I’m just letting you know that you can get away with A LOT if you own good denim. These are my staples.
Agolde Parker Vintage Cut Off Shorts in Swapmeet — I live in these in summer. Not quite designed for squatting and lifting toddlers (I’ve ripped a pair or two) but I keep buying them because they’re easy and they hit the right spot on the thigh. Maybe this year I’ll test out the mid-thigh short trend, but I’m scared I’ll look like an 80’s YMCA mum. Prob better to stick with the tried and true daisy duke.
Agolde 90’s Mid-Rise Loose Fit — If I had to pick one pair of jeans, it would be these. I’ve bought these in multiple sizes (depending on where I am in my PP journey) and always feel great in them. Perfect year round and even comfy enough to travel in.
Citizens of Humanity Chrissy Luxe Touch Sculpt High-Rise Skinny in plush black — I’ve turned away from the skinny style recently but I just can’t quit this pair. They are so soft and stretchy but look very put together. Love them with a boot/coat or oversized sweater.
White jeans in general! I loveeee white jeans. I wasn’t sure I’d get much use out of them when they arrived but I wear these all.the.time. Great with a little cropped tee or tank. The ones I'm wearing are sold out on Reformation but these pairs from Agolde and Frame are similar.
Riley High Rise Straight Crop — I have the Riley in two colors and prefer the slimmer fit when I’m wearing a boxier/flowy top. I mostly pair these with a boot but they look cute with heels as well.
Agolde Criss Cross Jeans in eternal — By far the comfiest jeans I own. Love the criss cross detail at the waist. These jeans + a white sneaker = my spring uniform.
Phillip Lim 3.1 Utility Jeans — I’ve mentioned this set a billion times and I’ll bring it up a billion more. Canadian Tuxedos FOR LIFE.
